In this week’s Parenthetical post we feature a short video and article by Sue Shellenbarger, the Work and Family columnist at the Wall Street Journal. Drawing on recent research and brain imaging studies of teens, Shellenbarger discusses four different phases of the adolescent years and provides some excellent suggestions about how parents can best support, guide and respond during this sometimes challenging period. The video and accompanying article can be found here at the Wall Street Journal website.
